As a speaker and advocate. I regularly speak at statewide and national conferences on effective communication, specifically focusing on how to utilize technology to grow audiences and increase engagement.

In addition to my professional work, I am a passionate advocate for disability rights. I often share my personal story to advocate for equal access and inspire others to strengthen their relationships and give back to their local communities.

“Anisa is a powerful Disability Community advocate. In July 2024, she spoke powerfully of her personal journey with Disability at the National Council for Independent Living annual Americans With Disabilities Act rally on Capitol Hill. She connected her personal story to the larger organizing movement for people with disabilities to be paid fair, living wages. While the practice of paying people with disabilities subminimum wage is slowly being eradicated — thanks to powerful advocacy from advocates like Anisa — there are still many barriers to employment that people with disabilities experience. Anisa’s story reminds us that a better, fully inclusive future for our community is not only possible, but necessary.”
